Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Beaakon.

What is Beaakon?
Beaakon connects parents with experienced SEND professionals - SENCOs, SEND teachers, and learning support staff - who can help with everything from EHCP applications to behaviour strategies to school meeting preparation.
How much does it cost?
Beaakon is free for parents. Each specialist sets their own hourly rate, which is displayed on their profile. You only pay for sessions you book. No subscriptions, no hidden fees.
How do I find the right specialist?
Browse specialist profiles by specialism, location, and availability. Each profile includes their experience, qualifications, reviews from other parents, and hourly rate. Book a single session to see if it's the right fit.
Are specialists approved?
Yes. Every specialist on Beaakon has their identity confirmed, DBS check confirmed, and qualifications reviewed before their profile goes live.See our full vetting framework →
What can a specialist help me with?
Our specialists help with EHCP applications and reviews, school meeting preparation, behaviour strategies, communication and language support, sensory needs, inclusion support, and much more.
Can I book a single session?
Absolutely. There's no commitment or contract. Book one session and see how it goes. Many families start with a single session and go from there.
How do sessions work?
Sessions can be via video call, phone, or in-person depending on the specialist. You book a time that works for you, and the specialist will guide the session based on your needs.
What if my child has already been assessed?
Our specialists help at every stage - whether you're waiting for an assessment, have a diagnosis and need strategies, or want help getting the right support in school.
Is Beaakon available now?
Yes. Beaakon has been live since 2026. You can find a specialist today and start with a free 15-minute consultation before booking any paid session.
