We built our own multi-step verification process because nothing off-the-shelf is rigorous enough for SEND. Every specialist on Beaakon has their identity confirmed, their Enhanced DBS verified, and their qualifications reviewed by our team before their profile goes live.
Trust isn't a one-off step. We re-check DBS at renewal, keep reviews open, and our team is on hand 7 days a week if you ever need us. We treat trust as a living thing and we keep iterating to build it.
Every specialist is vetted on four pillars
These aren't check-the-box claims. Each pillar is verified by a human on our team before any specialist goes live.
Identity confirmed
Government-issued ID checked against a live selfie before any profile goes live. We never let a specialist take a booking under a name we haven't confirmed in person.
Enhanced DBS
Every specialist holds a current Enhanced DBS certificate. We verify the certificate number directly — not just the claim — and re-check at renewal.
Qualifications verified
QTS, NASENCo, EHCP and EP credentials, BCBA registration, OT and SLT licences — all reviewed by our team against the original awarding body before approval.
Ongoing support
Our team is reachable 7 days a week. If anything ever feels off during a session, we step in immediately — no chasing, no escalation hoops.

Apply
Specialists apply with their qualifications, areas of practice, and references. Every application is read by a human on our team.
Verify ID & DBS
We check government ID against a live selfie and verify the Enhanced DBS certificate number with the issuing authority.
Review qualifications & references
We cross-check awarding bodies, professional registrations, and at least one school or clinical reference. Most applications are reviewed within 48 hours.
Go live
Only once every check is clear does a profile go live. We re-verify DBS at renewal and respond to any concern raised by a parent.
