When will I start getting bookings?
Beaakon launches in summer 2026. Registering now means you're reviewed, approved, and ready to accept bookings from day one — ahead of specialists who sign up at launch. Early specialists also get first pick of featured profile placement.
How does the £30–£50 hourly rate work?
Every specialist starts each month at £30 per hour. Every session you complete that month bumps your rate by £5 for the next one, up to a £50 maximum. Four sessions and you're at the top. On the 1st of the next month the ladder resets, and you climb again from £30.
Why a fixed rate ladder instead of letting me set my own?
Two reasons. First, families never have to compare quotes or worry they're paying more than their neighbour — that lowers the friction that stops parents reaching out for help. Second, it rewards the specialists doing the most work: the ones picking up sessions consistently earn the most, instead of competing on price.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing. Joining is free, there's no monthly subscription, and you only earn when you complete a session.
What qualifications do I need?
You'll need relevant qualifications in learning support and a valid enhanced DBS check. We verify all credentials before you go live.
How do I get paid?
Payments are processed automatically after each completed session. You'll receive funds directly to your bank account within 3–5 working days. There's no invoicing, no chasing, no chargebacks for you to handle.
Can I set my own hours?
Absolutely. You choose when you're available. There are no minimum hours — if you do one session this month, you get paid for one session. If you do twelve, the last eight are at £50/hr.
What if I need to cancel a session?
We have a fair cancellation policy. You can cancel or reschedule with 24 hours' notice at no cost.
